Il Fortegnano is located in the beautiful Tuscan hills near Arezzo, 550m above sea level. It is in the middle of a vast property (40 hectares) of uncontaminated green land in a sunny, panoramic and relaxing spot.
It is the ideal base for fascinating naturalistic, cultural and archaeological excursions to the nearby valleys, castles, monastries and forests, as well as the nearby centres of Arezzo, Cortona, Sansepolcro, Siena, Firenze and Perugia.
The property has been restored by the owners recently maintaining its ancient charme, following the original architectural plan and respecting the medieval materials. It consists of two independent cottages and five apartments in the main house, all with amazing views. Villa Fortegnano is ideal for large groups: the structure allows guests to be together in the communal areas but also have privacy in the different apartments/cottages.
Each of the spacious and beautifully decorated houses has been elegantly furnished with Tuscan taste and benefits from independent heating, Satellite TV and telephone.
The panoramic swimming pool, the romantic terraced gardens. the small lake and the woods make Fortegnao very special. Mountain bikes, table tennis, wood oven, BBQ and laundry room are available to guests. There are a communal kitchen and a communal room which usually is a living/dining room. Depending on what guests request, this room can be changed into a dining room only without sofas and armchairs.
Village is at 2 km with bar and restaurant , a food shop. Arezzo is abaut 20 minutes driving.
